株式会社HYPERITHMの韓国子会社HYPERITHM Inc.（以下、「同社」）は、韓国インターネット振興院（準政府機関）より、情報セキュリティマネジメントシステム（ISMS）認証を取得いたしました（認証番号：ISMS-KISA-2021-144）。認証の範囲は「暗号資産金融サービスの運営（暗号資産運用・ブローカレッジ）」です。特に暗号資産の運用会社の中で韓国のISMS認証を取得したのは、同社が初めてです。

2021年3月、韓国では「特定金融取引情報の報告及び利用等に関する法律」が改正され、「仮想通貨（暗号資産）事業者」という免許が新設されました。同社を含めて改正前より暗号資産関連事業を運営してきた会社には6か月の猶予期間が設けられており、期間内に免許の登録を進める必要があります。ISMS認証の取得は、登録手続きの前提条件であり、当該認証を受けてない会社は登録手続きが開始できないことになっています。この度同社は80個のISMS認定項目及び56個の暗号資産事業者用の特別点検項目を通過し、ISMS認証を取得しましたので、韓国における暗号資産事業者の登録手続きを予定通りに進めてまいります。

Hyperithm Inc. ("Hyperithm Korea"), a subsidiary of Hyperithm Co., Ltd. has acquired Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification (No.: ISMS-KISA-2021-144) from Korea Internet Security Agency (KISA), a public institution established by the Korea Government. The scope of the certification is for "Digital Asset Financial Services (Digital Asset Management and Brokerage)". Hyperithm Korea is also the first digital asset manager to acquire ISMS certification in the country.

In March 2021, "The Act on Reporting and Utilization of Special Financial Transaction Information" was revised in Korea, and the "Virtual Asset Services Provider (VASP)" license was introduced. Companies that have been operating digital asset-related business prior to the revision, including Hyperithm Korea, have been given a grace period of six months to register for the license. ISMS certification is a major requirement to begin the registration process and Hyperithm Korea demonstrated its technical stability and reliability by meeting 80 requirements for basic ISMS certification and 56 special requirements for digital asset-related companies. Having cleared the hurdle of obtaining an ISMS certification, Hyperithm Korea will proceed with the application as planned.
